The Neighborhood Association Friends of La Acebeda is organizing the third edition of the 'Roots' Days on Saturday, July 4th, a celebration dedicated to the traditions and music of the Madrid mountains.

Attendees can enjoy a varied program that includes an approximately one-hour hiking route around the town's surroundings, allowing exploration of nearby forests and streams. Later, at the lower mill, the TERRITORIO exhibition will be on display, followed by a chance to refresh and dance to the tunes of dulzaina players.
The day will continue with a communal meal offered at an affordable price, featuring traditional local dishes. In the afternoon, the House of Culture will host the presentation of the book EL LINO, DEVANANDO LA MADEJA (Flax, Unraveling the Skein), an interesting session to learn about the area's flax history.
The day's festivities will conclude in the main square with a performance by AULA CARPETANA. This group will bring their albogues and dulzainas to play ancestral melodies of the sierra. Throughout the day, a bar service offering food and drinks will be available.
