The Mayor, Eduardo Fernández, accompanied by the Councilor for Territorial Planning and Housing, Francisco Funes, and representatives from developers and urbanizers GIS and Obras Especiales, signed the site survey act marking the start of the works. The sector covers an area of over 62,000 m².
The project includes the construction of 77 semi-detached single-family homes and 115 multi-family homes. The development companies will be responsible for the construction and marketing of all homes, including those designated as protected housing. Since 2019, the council has ensured compliance with current regulations regarding protected housing.
This urban development also plans for the extension of Mallorca street to connect with San Pablo Avenue (sector SUZ II-6), as well as the creation of more than 9,000 m² of green spaces and over 10,700 m² allocated for facilities.
“"With this new development, we continue to unblock sectors that have been stagnant and undeveloped since the General Plan in 1998, in addition to guaranteeing the construction of more than 500 protected homes since 2019, overseeing compliance with obligations established in the Land Law, the General Plan, and municipal ordinances. This is a change from previous People's Party governments that allowed certain developers to be exempted, leaving over 400 protected homes planned more than 20 years ago unexecuted."
The municipality's motto, "Villanueva del Pardillo. Creating a new municipality," underscores the vision of progress and development for the town.
