The Teatro Auditorio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial will serve as the main venue for the Ópera a quemarropa festival, which begins its third edition on July 3rd with a six-play program.

The festival's opening will feature the a cappella opera Svadba. Una boda, a piece that delves into Balkan traditions and personal bonds. This event, promoted by the Comunidad de Madrid, aims to bring chamber opera to the public through a selection of works that combine artistic innovation with musical excellence.
The schedule, running until July 18th, includes highlights such as the world premiere of La clausura del amor and the performance of Estètica i massacre. Furthermore, the festival focuses on recovering Baroque heritage with the work Pericca e Varrone, by Alessandro Scarlatti, performed by the group La Madrileña under the stage direction of Ignacio García.
The project stands out for its ambition to integrate both contemporary themes and historical pieces. Performances will be held across San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Aranjuez, and Alcalá de Henares, solidifying a cultural offering that explores new scenic and sensory languages for today's audience.
