The application period for these subsidies will be open until May 29. The initiative seeks to alleviate the significant financial burden that the start of each school year represents for many households.
The aid is structured into two main modalities. The first, called General Aid, offers 65 euros per student and only requires completing a form on the municipal Procedures Portal, without the need to provide additional documentation.
The second modality is Progressive Aid, which is directly linked to family income. This option includes amounts of up to 100 euros per student for families receiving the minimum insertion income or minimum vital income. For families with a per capita income equal to or less than 5,000 euros, the maximum amount is 90 euros per student. The specific form for this aid is also available on the Procedures Portal.
The Municipal School Aid is aimed at students between 3 and 19 years old who are registered in San Lorenzo de El Escorial with the applicant parent or guardian before October 1, 2025. It covers studies from Second Cycle Early Childhood Education to Adult Education Baccalaureate for the 2026-2027 academic year.
“"We are aware of the significant financial effort that the start of each school year entails for many families, and these aids seem to us a fundamental tool to support them. Furthermore, the progressive aid line allows us to attend with greater intensity to those who need it most."
