The City Council of Miraflores de la Sierra has revitalized its Local Development service by creating a new portal on its municipal website. This space is designed to centralize and facilitate access to job offers, both within the municipality itself and in other towns in the Sierra Norte of Madrid.
Mayor Luis Guadalix highlighted the recovery of this tool, which aims to establish a more direct link between active job seekers and companies needing staff. As explained in an interview, the goal is for this web space to serve as an effective meeting point for employment.
“"What we have done is recover this site a bit"
The initiative is not limited to vacancies available in Miraflores de la Sierra but also integrates offers from nearby municipalities. This allows residents to consult a broader range of job opportunities in the region.
Among the mentioned job positions are roles such as nursing assistant and caregiver at a residence in Patones, a cook at another elderly care facility, and jobs related to facility maintenance and animal care at a specialized hotel in La Serna del Monte.
In addition to publishing vacancies, the municipal page also includes training initiatives aimed at people with disabilities, thus expanding the service's reach.
Companies interested in posting their offers can directly contact the City Council's Local Development department. An email address and contact phone numbers have been provided on the municipal website to facilitate this communication, reinforcing the council's role as an intermediary.
This employment service is complemented by programs funded by the Community of Madrid, which allow the City Council to implement selection processes for various professional profiles. Guadalix noted that employment pools are created to cover future municipal needs, including positions such as gardeners, construction workers, administrative staff, and technicians.
With this new tool, the City Council of Miraflores de la Sierra aims to establish a centralized information point for employment, training, and job opportunities in the Sierra Norte of Madrid.
