Free training for families in Sierra Central on AI, ADHD, and adolescence

The THAM Mancomunidad and municipal Social Services offer three free online sessions during September and October 2026 to address key topics in family education.

The THAM Mancomunidad and the Municipal Social Services of Sierra Central are launching a free online training program for families, addressing crucial topics such as artificial intelligence, ADHD, and preparation for adolescence.

During September and October 2026, three training sessions will be held for families with children and adolescents. These activities aim to be a space for learning, meeting, and sharing experiences, with the participation of expert professionals.
The first session, titled “Growing Up Among Algorithms: Educating in the Age of AI”, will take place on Monday, September 28th. It is recommended for families with children of any age and will offer practical information to understand the impact of AI, detect inappropriate uses, and promote responsible use. The session will be led by Maribel Gámez Cruz, a health psychologist specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health.
On Tuesdays, October 6th and 13th, the sessions “ADHD, Tools for Managing It Satisfactorily by Understanding It and Not Dying in the Attempt” will be held. Aimed at families with children of any age, it will focus on demystifying the disorder, understanding its bases, and providing practical intervention tools for home and the classroom. The speaker will be Ana Navarro Lalanda, a health psychologist and neuropsychologist.
Finally, on Monday, October 19th, “How to Prepare for Adolescence: Instructions for Real Life” will be presented, aimed at families with children aged 10 and up. The objective is to facilitate understanding of relationships in pre-adolescence and adolescence, offering everyday tools and coping strategies for respectful accompaniment. The session will be led by Sélica Juberias, a psychologist and psychotherapist.
