The festivities, designed to offer activities for all ages, will prominently feature music, with orchestras and a large disco event. Local groups, known as 'peñas', will also play a key role in creating a festive atmosphere throughout the town.
The official start will be on Friday at 11:00 PM with the opening proclamation delivered by Fabián Venero, a local resident and renowned trail runner, who is a champion in Spain, Europe, and the world, and has competed for the Spanish national team.
One of the most unique events will be the ninth Soapbox Derby on Sunday, September 13. Due to last-minute issues, the initially planned route has been modified, and the old course will be reinstated, as explained by the Councilor for Festivities, Andrés Jiménez.
Saturday, September 12, will kick off with a bull-running event at 11:00 AM, followed by a 'carretones' (toy bull) run specifically for young children. The day will continue with an appetizer for residents and visitors, before afternoon activities commence.
Monday, September 14, the Day of the Cristo del Buen Consejo, will feature the central mass and procession, followed by a communal meal for members, accompanied by a local DJ. The day will also include a costume contest organized by the local 'peñas'.
The Becerril de la Sierra Town Council invites residents and visitors to enjoy these festivities, which blend tradition, family-friendly activities, and events organized by the 'peñas', creating six days of celebration in the town's streets.
