Becerril de la Sierra is preparing to celebrate the sixteenth edition of 'La Noche en Vela' this Saturday, an event that will transform the municipality into a stage for art and culture as the sun sets.

The Becerril de la Sierra City Council is organizing a new edition of 'La Noche en Vela', a prominent cultural and tourist event. From dusk onwards, the public can enjoy a carefully designed itinerary featuring live music, street theater, dance, and circus arts in various locations throughout the municipality. The monumental heritage will serve as the backdrop for an immersive experience.
Gema Moreno Martín, Councilor for Culture and Tourism, highlighted the town's transformation: “When the sun goes down, our town will be filled with light, music, culture, and life.” She invited attendees to discover or rediscover Becerril de la Sierra, promising a different and magical evening in the Sierra de Guadarrama.
The program includes a street parade with the band Steam Brass Band, offering an energetic itinerant show. Attendees can also enjoy 'Remix' by Associació Atempo Circ, blending circus arts with music, and 'We Love Disco' by Yllana, featuring disco music hits.
The musical closing will be by Darwin, presenting a Spanish pop-rock show in the Plaza de la Constitución. Additionally, there will be an artisan market on C/ Real, a 'Disco 80’s' exhibition at the Centro Cultural, and visits to the Ethnographic Museum.
To immortalize the night, two themed photocalls will be set up in Plaza Mariano Martín Ortuño and C/ Real.
