The municipal group Vox Torrelodones has publicly denounced the accusations made by Popular Party councilor Óscar Fernández during the municipal plenary session on May 21st, labeling them as false and irresponsible.

Vox Torrelodones vehemently denies the insinuations from the popular councilor, who allegedly suggested that the political party deliberately kept an unwell councilor in the Plenary to secure a specific vote on the omnibus modification debated. The party describes this strategy as "poisoning, distortion, and manipulation" by the Popular Party.
According to Vox's account, spokesperson Sonsoles Palacios requested a recess that was rejected by the mayor. Subsequently, councilor Felipe Pinto left the Plenary accompanied by Civil Protection, returning later by his own decision. Another Vox councilor also had to leave temporarily due to an urgent meeting.

"After my anxiety worsened, the health center recommended I not return to the plenary and rest. My decision to return was mine alone."

Felipe Pinto publicly refuted the PP's insinuations via a message on the social network X, clarifying that his return to the plenary was a personal decision, motivated by medical advice to rest after his anxiety worsened.
In response to what they consider "injustices, slander, and lies," Vox spokesperson Sonsoles Palacios asked the mayor to strictly apply the Municipal Organic Regulation (ROM) to expel the PP councilor or demand a rectification. However, the mayor instead called Palacios to order.
Vox Torrelodones finds it particularly serious that the Popular Party uses a person's health status to politically weaken an opponent, calling this action "meanness unbecoming" of someone who should act with institutional responsibility. The party denounces a growing "sectarianism and dirty play" by the local PP, which they claim "lies, distorts, and manipulates" solely to attack Vox.
The municipal group concludes by stating they will not tolerate further "infamies or defamation campaigns" and will continue to denounce every "lie and attempt at manipulation," defending "freedom, truth, and institutional respect" against "sectarianism and dirty play."
