The main day will begin with the Transhumance Festival, now in its third consecutive year. Starting at 11:00 AM, a herd of oxen will parade through the streets from Parque de El Toril to the Ermita de El Cerrillo. Following the mass and procession, attendees can enjoy a free tasting of tripe and flamenco performances in the meadow.
Simultaneously, the Plaza de la Constitución will host children's and family activities from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, including mask-making workshops, storytelling, and a chotis flashmob. In the afternoon, the Teatro Jacinto Benavente will host the San Isidro Awards ceremony, recognizing the contributions of local residents and naming a posthumous illustrious son.
On Saturday, May 16, the program continues with FAMIFEST at the Plaza de la Constitución, an event dedicated to children featuring juggling, magic, and bouncy castles. The day will conclude with a participatory musical show. Additionally, young people can participate in an escape room at the Punto Joven.
The cultural offering is complemented by exhibitions at the Ricardo León Library and the La Pocilla Cultural Center, as well as the III Oxtail Gastronomic Days, which will run throughout the weekend in local hospitality establishments.
