Rail traffic on the C-8 and C-10 Cercanías lines, as well as several Media Distancia services, is experiencing significant delays this Wednesday following an incident between Torrelodones and Las Matas.

The incident occurred around 11:15 AM, when a Media Distancia train traveling from León to Príncipe Pío was forced to stop on track II. According to a Renfe spokesperson, the train struck a person at an unauthorized crossing.
As a result of the disruption, rail traffic has been restricted to a single track in the affected section, causing average delays of over 30 minutes on the mentioned Cercanías lines and Media Distancia services operating in the area.
To manage the situation, the rail operator arranged for the transfer of the 60 passengers from the affected train to another Cercanías unit. The operation was completed at 12:15 PM using walkways installed on the tracks.
Authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances under which the incident occurred in the municipality of Torrelodones.
