The session, titled “Recognizing Dependency: Rights and Procedures,” is part of the Active and Healthy Aging Program and will take place on June 11 at the municipality's Department for the Elderly. The objective is to provide clear and accessible information on the Dependency Law, the rights of dependent individuals, and the available aid for them and their families.
During the in-person workshop, key aspects such as the concept and degrees of dependency, the application and assessment process, economic benefits, social services, and support to promote personal autonomy will be addressed. Attendees will learn to understand dependency, know their rights, manage recognition, and access resources.
This initiative is part of the Active Aging Workshops, designed to promote inclusion and social participation for the elderly, preventing situations of disability or dependency. The training aims to offer useful and accessible information on dependency recognition and access to benefits.
