Due to the orange alert for high temperatures, the Collado Villalba City Council has granted free access to municipal swimming pools for residents over 65 and families with children under 10.

The initiative, effective until Wednesday, July 8, follows the AEMET forecast regarding the extreme heat episode. The local government aims to provide a safe and cool environment for population groups most sensitive to adverse weather conditions.
The facilities, located near the Ciudad Deportiva y Centro Acuático on Las Águedas street, cover an area of 5,000 square meters. The complex includes slides, water chutes, and various recreational areas for visitors.
To ensure safety during this period, the complex maintains a capacity limit of 1,000 people and is staffed by 20 lifeguards assigned to different shifts.
