Athlete Ángel Lebrero, from the San Sebastián de los Reyes Athletics Club – Clínica Menorca, achieved a double podium at the Spanish Championship held in Palafrugell (Girona). Lebrero was the runner-up in Spain in the M60 category in the track mile and secured third place in the 10 km race.
In football, the Unión Deportiva won at home against CS Puertollano 2-1. The men's 1st National team of the Balonmano Club defeated Caja Viva Balonmano Camargo 30-41, thus maintaining their top position in the standings. Meanwhile, the Club Futsal Sanse secured their fifth victory of the season by winning 2-8 against Parque Norte, consolidating their lead.
The women's 1st National Volleyball Club achieved their third league win with a 3-0 victory over Voleibol Alcalá, placing them second in the table. At the Mallorca Open, Aina Kirtselis, from Hankuk International School, was crowned champion in the Junior Women's -49 kg category.
The DC Super Heroes Run Madrid 2026, held on Sunday, October 18th, with over 9,000 participants, saw Francisca Almirón, a local resident and member of the Club Corredores, crowned the overall champion in the 6.8 km urban route through the center of Madrid.
Other notable successes include the Carrera de la Ciencia (Science Race), organized by the CSIC, where Marcos Oñate, Sergio Salinero, and Javi Martínez secured second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
