San Sebastián de los Reyes will host a free urban culture festival on May 22 and 23, 2026, featuring dance, rap, basketball, and visual arts competitions for young people aged 14 to 30.

The town of San Sebastián de los Reyes is preparing to host a new edition of its urban culture festival, an event that brings together young talents from the northern area of the Community of Madrid. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, 2026, with free admission until capacity is reached for all scheduled activities.
This festival is organized in collaboration with the Red Joven Norte, an alliance of five municipalities: San Sebastián de los Reyes, Alcobendas, Algete, Colmenar Viejo, and Tres Cantos. Together, these local governments work to offer a diverse cultural and leisure program for the youth of the region. This year's edition maintains the structure of previous years but with a program covering four main disciplines: dance, rap, 3x3 basketball, and visual arts.
On Friday, May 22, the festival will kick off at 5:30 PM at the Auditorio del Centro Joven ‘Daniel Rodríguez’ with the All Styles Doble KO Sanse Urbano 2026 dance championship. This direct elimination competition attracts dancers of various styles and from different municipalities. The event will be hosted by David Doble KO and Tito África, with live music by DJ Swabe and a judging panel composed of renowned urban dance figures such as Wendy, Grazy, and Nanox.
The winner of this competition will not only receive a cash prize but also a direct pass to the qualifying round of the All Styles Battle competition at the Switch On Madrid festival, which will take place in Leganés on May 23 and 24, offering an opportunity to compete on a larger scale.
The day of Saturday, May 23, will combine sports and music. Starting at 11:00 AM, the sports courts of IES Atenea will host the Campeonato Basket 3x3 Sanse Urbano 2026, a basketball format highly popular among young people for its intensity and speed. In the afternoon, the Auditorio del Centro Joven will regain prominence with the Sanse Battle RAP 2026, a freestyle competition that tests participants' improvisation and verbal skills. The judging panel will consist of Eude, Babi, and Yvi Rose, with Kalmiura as host and DJ Ozetak on the decks. The rap battle will begin at 5:30 PM.
In parallel with the competitions, the Visual Arts Contest will take place, open to young people who wish to express the essence of the festival through disciplines such as drawing, collage, painting, photography, or video. The selected works will be part of a multidisciplinary exhibition that can be visited during September at the Centro Joven, offering a platform to showcase creative work.
All competitions include cash prizes. In dance, basketball, and rap, the first-place winner will receive 300 euros, the second-place winner 150 euros, and there will also be a special prize from the Red Joven Norte of 300 euros. The winning work of the Visual Arts Contest will be recognized with a single prize of 150 euros.
Registrations are open, but it is important to note the deadlines: until May 21 for the dance and visual arts contests, and until May 22 for the rap battle and the 3x3 basketball tournament. For the dance and rap competitions, participants must include their artistic nickname. For 3x3 basketball, it is mandatory to register all team members and the name under which they will compete. Registrations are made through the application available on the city council's website.
