The Colmenar Viejo City Council has completed an improvement plan for the municipality's public educational centers, carrying out five projects with a total investment of €609,502.18. These works, conducted during the non-teaching period, aim to modernize and adapt educational infrastructure.
These investments add to the nearly €2 million allocated in the last three years to provide more modern, accessible, safe, and functional facilities for students and teachers. The Department of Education has emphasized the municipal commitment to public education and infrastructure maintenance.
Specific actions include the renovation of doors and flooring at the ‘La Casita de Niños’ Children's Center (€94,350.77), the replacement of doors and windows and the construction of a new porch at the ‘Los Enebros’ Children's Center (€116,784.59), the refurbishment of outdoor spaces at CPB ‘Tirso de Molina’ (€143,061.97), the improvement of the drainage system at CPB ‘Ángel León’ (€136,907.74), and the adaptation of access points for people with reduced mobility at CPEE ‘Miguel Hernández’ (€118,397.11).
Additionally, the council allocates €375,000 annually to a specific maintenance contract to address needs that may arise during the school year.
