Colmenar Viejo is gearing up to host its traditional Book Fair on June 6 and 7 at Parque El Mirador, offering a diverse program for all audiences.

The event, running from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, will feature participation from the municipal libraries, the Picasso Cultural Center, and local bookstores. The latter will provide a 10% discount on book sales throughout both days.
Saturday, June 6, includes workshops such as ‘A Bookmark, A Thousand Adventures’ and ‘A Journey of Colors in Every Postcard’. Literary booths are returning to offer poems and excerpts from renowned authors. The day will conclude with the clown show ‘Les frikis’ by the company Mundo Costrini.
Sunday, June 7, will focus on oral storytelling with ‘Earth. Musical Tales’ and ‘Buffoonish Tales’ for children. In the afternoon, ‘Tear My Head Off’ will be presented, a performance for adult audiences.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet various writers and get signed copies. Saturday's lineup includes authors such as Carlos Suchowolski and Cristina Ariza, while Sunday will feature Fernando Olalla and Noelia Colmenarejo, among others.
The tent for the Municipal Libraries and the Picasso Cultural Center will serve as an information point for library services and the City Council's annual cultural programming.
