The town of Colmenar Viejo will be festive on Saturday, July 11, to celebrate its Summer Carnival. The day will begin at 8:00 PM with a parade starting from Avenida de Los Remedios, accompanied by brass bands and batucadas.
The parade route will proceed along calle San Sebastián to the Plaza de la Constitución. From this point, the celebration will divide into two distinct areas to offer different experiences to attendees.
Families can enjoy children's and family activities in the Plaza del Pueblo, where a stage truck will provide entertainment until 1:00 AM. Meanwhile, the rest of the parade will continue along Avenida de la Libertad and calle Tomillo to reach the Recinto Ferial Las Huertas.
At the Recinto Ferial Las Huertas, starting at 9:00 PM, the show "The Big Show: Guardians of the Ocean" will take place. This event will feature themed decorations, confetti showers, fire effects, a megatron, pyrotechnics, and commercial, urban, techno, and electronic music sets by DJs Rami, Kudos, Nacho Aguilar, Cristian Robles, and Want Disturb. The venue will also have bars and food trucks.
The organization has planned a special deployment, including attended restrooms in the Plaza del Pueblo and the Recinto Ferial. A Punto Violeta (Violet Point), focused on equality and prevention, will be available in the main party area from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM, staffed by specialists. Additionally, there will be a first-aid station managed by Protección Civil.
The security device, coordinated by the Local Police with the collaboration of the Guardia Civil and private security, will control access. Entry to the Fairgrounds with glass objects or metallic items is prohibited. Surveillance cameras will be installed, along with a lost and found office.
Among the rules for attendees, it is reminded that minors cannot consume alcoholic beverages, and motor vehicles or pyrotechnic devices not belonging to the organization are prohibited during the parade. It is recommended not to bring valuables and to keep identification and mobile phones secure, as well as to visibly carry the contact number of the responsible adult if attending with minors.
