Alcobendas is celebrating European Mobility Week this Sunday, September 20th, with a day of activities focused on sustainable mobility, road safety, and accessibility.

The Bulevar Salvador Allende will be the venue for the event, running from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and will be closed to motorized traffic. Organized by the Alcobendas City Council and the Alcobendas Sports Foundation (FUNDAL), the initiative aims to promote sustainable mobility, road safety, accessibility, and community.
One of the main activities is a cycling march organized in collaboration with the Ecosport Triatlón Club, encouraging active mobility and healthy lifestyles. The first 200 registered participants will receive a Welcome bag from the Renault Group Spain Foundation.
Renault Group will also be present with an exhibition of electric and hybrid vehicles, showcasing sustainable transport alternatives. Meanwhile, Autoescuela Merinero will conduct activities related to road education and driving safety, including a rollover simulator.
Accessible transport will be highlighted with the presentation of a bus equipped for people with reduced mobility by Grupo HIFE. The Alcobendas Local Police will set up a road safety park for children, where they can learn traffic rules and see police vehicles.
Civil Protection will offer a workshop on first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The event will also feature sports activities and exhibitions by local clubs, a Family Dance session starting at 12:30 PM, and a children's area with inflatables.
