Since August 1st, the four physician positions at the PAC are filled, representing the complete recovery of a staffing level the municipality had not had for six years. In addition to the physicians, the double nursing staff provision is maintained.
This milestone concludes a progressive process initiated after the service's closure in March 2020, coinciding with the pandemic. The reopening in 2023 was initially carried out with nursing staff only, and the incorporation of two physicians in early 2026 marked an improvement but not full coverage.
The full staff recovery, which was already operational during the recent Patron Saint Festivals, strengthens emergency out-of-hospital healthcare in Colmenar Viejo and reduces the need for travel to resolve urgent cases.
The PAC, located at the Centro Integral de Salud Sur on Cecilio de la Morena Arranz street, 1, complements the center's offerings, which include Primary Care, Pediatrics, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Radiology, Mental Health, and various medical specialties.
During the years of incomplete staffing, emergency care was also supported by SUMMA 112 resources. Now, with the four physician positions and double nursing staff, the PAC once again has the planned medical team for out-of-hospital emergencies.
