Its main objective is to address the challenge of transforming European scientific excellence into industrial and economic impact, facilitating the transition from laboratory research to production and from tech startups to globally competitive companies.
Madrid Connect focuses on connecting the various key players for the advancement of 'deep tech', from research to market. While rooted in Madrid, the event has a clear European and international scope.
The 2026 program is structured around three technological areas crucial for Europe's industrial capacity: the discovery of new medicines, where artificial intelligence and biotechnology are revolutionizing therapy development; the quantum universe, with quantum computing and communications emerging as strategic priorities and preparation for post-quantum cryptography; and advanced materials, which promise to transform entire industrial sectors.
This year's edition will place special emphasis on dialogue between Europe and Latin America, exploring avenues for collaboration in technology, investment, and market access. During the second day, specific sessions will be dedicated to the EU-LatAm bridge and opening up to international markets, reinforcing Madrid's position as a global meeting point for science and investment.
The event boasts strong institutional and business support. It is funded by the Madrid City Council and sponsored by Funditec (gold), ClarkeModet, and Eurecat (bronze). It also receives backing from the UAM, UCM, CSIC, and the Community of Madrid, with the collaboration of the European Commission's Enterprise Europe Network.
