Plaza de España will be the main stage on Friday, October 9th, with performances by La Santa Cecilia (7:00 PM) and Aterciopelados (9:00 PM). The program continues on Saturday, October 10th, with Nat Simons (1:00 PM) and Sebastián Yatra (8:30 PM).
On Sunday, October 11th, audiences can enjoy Marta Sánchez (1:00 PM), Tipa Tipo (7:00 PM), and Los Cumbia Stars (9:00 PM). On Monday, October 12th, Carlos Baute will close the concert series at this venue (8:00 PM), preceded by Galdri Pereira and the cast of the musical SIX.
Plaza Mayor will offer a mix of pop, jazz, symphonic music, and flamenco. On Friday, October 9th, the gala Pioneros madrileños del pop (6:00 PM) will be presented, followed by Xenia Rubinos (9:30 PM). On Saturday, October 10th, Santi Comet, Ibérica Suite Jazz, and Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval will perform.
Sunday, October 11th, will feature Tori Sparks, the Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid (ORCAM), and De Nina Simone a la Paquera. On Monday, October 12th, the historic Corral de la Morería will host the Gala de Estrellas del Flamenco, with participation from La Moneta, Diana Navarro, Mercedes Ruiz, Olga Pericet, José Maya, and Jesús Carmona.
The Madrid Río esplanade will complete the main stage offerings. On Friday, October 9th, Lin Cortés and PATAX will perform; on Saturday, October 10th, Victorias, La Chica, Los Nikis de la Pradera, and the band 091; and on Sunday, October 11th, Comandante Twin, Jenny and The Mexicats, Aymée Nuviola, and Cimafunk. On Monday, October 12th, professional dance conservatories such as Mariemma, Carmen Amaya, and Fortea will headline the program.
Regional cultural centers are also joining the celebration. The Centro Cultural Pilar Miró will host the concert by Emilia y Pablo on Saturday, October 10th, and American Jazz Standards by the Ariel Brínguez Quartet on Monday, October 12th.
At the Centro Cultural Paco Rabal, Una distancia necesaria by Teatro Espejado can be seen on Friday, October 9th. The following day, FALLA Imaginado will be presented, a project by pianist Moisés P. Sánchez with Ana María Valderrama and Pablo Martín Caminero.
The Centro Comarcal de Humanidades Sierra Norte will host the Gala Hispanidad Circo Diverso on Saturday, October 10th. The Teatros del Canal will present Baco polaco by Mauricio Kartun in Sala Verde until October 11th, and Ferial de Calaveras in Sala Roja. Sala Negra will feature La razón sensible by Shantí Vera.
The Teatro de La Abadía continues to show LIBRES!!! until Sunday, October 11th, starring Alba Flores, Laura Galán, Nüll García, and pianist Eva Valdelomar.
In parallel, Surge Madrid en Otoño concludes its 13th edition on Saturday, after three weeks dedicated to contemporary performing arts, experimentation, and new languages. The Red de Teatros de la Comunidad de Madrid will offer a wide scenic program in various municipalities throughout the weekend.
The exhibition offerings include displays on the Siglo de Oro at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando and the Biblioteca Regional. The Museo Arqueológico y Paleontológico de la Comunidad de Madrid (MARPA) in Alcalá de Henares presents Dientes de sable and El Abrigo del Monte.
Other notable exhibitions include Mitologías modernas: Ouka Leele & Co at Sala Alcalá 31, Bitácoras. El valor de lo invisible at the Sala de Arte Joven, and several shows at the Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) in Móstoles.
