Three injured after accident involving police motorcycle on Gran Vía

Three women were injured this Saturday night after being struck by a Madrid Municipal Police motorcycle while traveling along Gran Vía.

The incident occurred around 10:00 PM near Clavel Street. According to information provided by emergency services, the officer, assigned to the Arganzuela District Integral Unit, was traveling in the lane reserved for emergency vehicles and large events when the collision occurred with the three young women who were crossing at a pedestrian crossing.
One of the victims, aged 26, was transported to Hospital Clínico with a potentially serious prognosis due to a possible femur fracture. The other two women suffered minor injuries and contusions, with one of them being taken to Hospital La Paz for medical treatment.
Authorities reported that the accident happened when the officer lost control of the electric motorcycle while moving through the area designated for ambulances and security forces during the event.
