Households in San Sebastián de los Reyes needing assistance with school meal and educational material expenses can now verify if their applications have been approved. Provisional lists for the 2026-2027 grant call have been released, a process that has garnered significant interest among the municipality's families this year.
A total of 1,605 applications were submitted during the open period for this aid, potentially benefiting 2,393 children and young people from Sanse with financial support for the upcoming school year. This is one of the most anticipated calls annually by many families, especially given the considerable economic strain associated with the start of the academic year.
Applicants can check if they are on the admitted or excluded lists by consulting the Education section on the municipal website, where provisional case details are available.
Families with application issues, such as incomplete documentation or data requiring correction, have until July 29 to rectify errors. This ten-business-day period is crucial to avoid losing aid due to administrative oversights.
The grant call has a total budget of 600,000 euros, divided into 400,000 euros for school meal grants and 200,000 euros for school material grants. Aid is awarded through competitive tendering, in accordance with the General Subsidy Law, until the available budget is exhausted.
School meal grants are intended for students registered in San Sebastián de los Reyes attending the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary, Compulsory Secondary Education, or Special Education in public or state-funded schools within the Community of Madrid. School material grants extend eligibility to students in Bachillerato and Basic and Intermediate Vocational Training, also in public or state-funded schools in the region.
To resolve queries, families can contact becas.educacion@ssreyes.org, providing the full name and ID (DNI/NIE/passport) of the applicant. All information is available on the municipal website.
