The operation was initiated after residents of the building reported persistent noise and disturbances. Following a loud argument heard on Sunday morning, officers entered the property located on Calle Castilla.
Inside, authorities discovered large amounts of trash, decomposing food, and insects. The baby was found on a bed, dehydrated and with a diaper saturated with waste, positioned dangerously close to the edge of the mattress.
After being taken to La Paz Hospital, medical tests confirmed that the infant tested positive for cocaine. The parents were arrested on charges of child neglect, abuse, and resisting arrest.
The intervention also uncovered animal neglect, leading to the removal of several pets by municipal services. During the arrest, one officer sustained injuries while struggling with the suspects and required medical attention.
