EMT Bus Service Reinforced for San Isidro Festivities

Madrid's Municipal Transport Company is increasing bus frequencies and rerouting lines to facilitate access to Pradera de San Isidro during the upcoming celebrations.

The Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT Madrid) has announced a significant reinforcement of its bus services to facilitate travel during the San Isidro Festivities, especially towards Pradera de San Isidro, between May 15 and 17.

The largest increase in bus provision will occur on May 15, coinciding with San Isidro Day. Lines 3, 17, 18, 23, 25, 34, 35, 36, 116, 118, 119, and 148 will see their frequencies boosted. On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17, lines 17 and 25 will also be reinforced due to anticipated higher passenger numbers.
In addition to reinforcements, some routes will undergo modifications. Line 25 (Plaza de España-Casa de Campo) will be diverted until May 20 in the section of Paseo de la Ermita del Santo, between Vía Carpetana and Paseo de San Illán. Towards Casa de Campo, buses will circulate via Vía Carpetana before resuming their usual route, leaving several stops on Paseo de la Ermita del Santo out of service. Alternative stops have been established on Vía Carpetana and Calle de Gallur.
Towards Plaza de España, line 25 will also alter its route via Vía Carpetana and Paseo de la Ermita del Santo, affecting several stops that will be out of service. Alternative options for users are located on Vía Carpetana and Paseo de la Ermita del Santo.
Line 50 (Plaza Mayor-Avenida del Manzanares) will also experience diversions throughout May 15. The affected section will be Paseo de la Ermita del Santo, between Paseo de San Illán and Puente de San Isidro. The terminus for this line will be relocated to a specific stop on Paseo de la Ermita del Santo at Puente de San Isidro. Various stops on Paseo de San Illán and Avenida del Manzanares will be out of service in both directions.
