The Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council has incorporated Luis Suñer as a non-attached councilor and ratified the highest municipal recognitions for the upcoming September patron saint festivities.

The municipal plenary session of Pozuelo de Alarcón has welcomed Luis Suñer, who has joined as a non-attached councilor. His entry fills the vacancy left by councilor Ángel Hernández, who passed away in late March. Suñer's incorporation occurred after Adriana Sabugal resigned from her seat, allowing the VOX candidacy to advance.
Suñer took office this Thursday and requested integration into the non-attached group, joining Ignacio Fernández and Rocío Domínguez, both former Vox councilors. This change does not alter the local government's composition, which retains its 17 PP councilors, while the opposition is composed of three PSOE councilors, the three non-attached members (including Suñer), one Vox representative, and one from Más Madrid.
During the plenary session, the honors for the September patron saint festivities were ratified. The appointment of Jesús Higueras, parish priest of Santa María de Caná, as Adoptive Son received nineteen votes in favor, from the PP, the Vox councilor, and the non-attached Rocío Domínguez. The three PSOE councilors and non-attached members Ignacio Fernández and Luis Suñer abstained.
The Medal of Merit was unanimously approved for the Congregation of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación Coronada, the municipality's patron saint. Más Madrid representative Patricia Cabal did not attend the session. Similarly, the same award was granted to Enrique Cerezo for his career in the audiovisual sector, with favorable votes from the PP and abstentions from the seven opposition representatives.
The session began with a minute of silence in memory of the woman murdered in Carabanchel on the 9th and for the two civil guards who died in Huelva while intercepting a narcolancha.
