Agents of the National Police are carrying out a raid on a dwelling located at Arrozal street, number 3, in the Madrid district of San Blas-Canillejas. The operation is taking place near Paraíso Park, an area that has raised neighborhood concerns due to the presence of homeless individuals and drug addicts.
Police sources indicate that the ground-floor apartment is suitable for operating as a drug den due to its proximity to the park and the ease of access for drug transactions.
The situation around Paraíso Park has been the subject of complaints from residents, who have expressed concern about the security and unsanitary conditions of the environment, citing a rise in violence. This prompted a meeting between the Community of Madrid, the capital's City Council, and the Government Delegation.
At this meeting, which regional government representatives did not attend, it was proposed to reinforce security. The Government Delegation, meanwhile, insisted on the need for socio-health measures, aligning with the residents' demands that the area's problem extends beyond security issues.
