Más Madrid held a new event for its 'Rosa en tu barrio' campaign in Nueva Alcalá, collecting citizen demands regarding cleaning, urban maintenance, and healthcare.

The political party Más Madrid has continued its resident listening initiative, 'Rosa en tu barrio' (Rose in Your Neighborhood), in the Nueva Alcalá area. The campaign aims to gather concerns and proposals directly from the residents of Alcalá de Henares.
Residents have voiced numerous complaints concerning the condition of public spaces and municipal services. Key issues include the state of the chopera (poplar grove), the river promenade, the asphalt of various areas, and the cleaning and maintenance of streets and parks.
The spokesperson for Más Madrid Alcalá, Rosa Romero, emphasized the importance of proximity between the administration and citizens. "Your neighborhood deserves more attention and fewer excuses," she stated, detailing the complaints received about the poplar grove, river promenade, asphalt, and lack of maintenance.
Romero also pointed out the breach of contract by the private company Valoriza, responsible for street cleaning, an issue previously exposed by Más Madrid Alcalá.
Furthermore, the spokesperson reiterated her party's demand for the return of a permanent doctor to the Luis Vives emergency services, urging the mayor to request this resource from the Community of Madrid.
In addition to in-person visits, Más Madrid is distributing QR codes to allow residents to submit their complaints and issues identified in the neighborhood. According to Romero, 1,920 QR codes were delivered to mailboxes, encouraging citizen participation.
The party advocates for this direct contact model over other political communication methods, promoting "direct engagement with the citizens of Alcalá, neighborhood by neighborhood and door to door."
The 'Rosa en tu barrio' campaign will continue in other areas of Alcalá de Henares in the coming weeks to gather further citizen demands.
