The Community of Madrid is considering declaring major events, particularly concerts, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium of general interest, aiming for regulatory balance.

The Community of Madrid Government is evaluating the possibility of declaring certain major events, such as concerts, held at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium as being of general interest. This measure, stemming from reports by El Confidencial and previous statements by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, aims to facilitate the staging of these spectacles at the venue.
Sources from the regional executive have assured that "ad hoc" regulations will not be created for this purpose. Instead, spokesperson Miguel Ángel García Martín detailed that the intention is to "seek balance" to "respect coexistence" and "the rest of the neighbors," while simultaneously allowing "major events to come" to the capital.
The initiative, according to 'El Confi', could involve modifying the Regional Law on Public Spectacles and Recreational Activities, under the purview of the Environment, Agriculture, and Interior department led by Carlos Novillo. The objective would be to establish a specific regulatory framework offering guarantees to organizers and promoters, without disregarding neighborhood demands.
The controversy intensified following statements by Florentino Pérez, who asserted that "we have won in court and we will hold concerts" and that they had the "support of the City Council and the Community, who will create special rules."
