The Community of Madrid has invested close to 3 million euros in the construction of the new headquarters for the Sierra Norte Mancomunidad, located in the town of Lozoyuela. This infrastructure will serve nearly 50,000 residents across the 42 municipalities that make up the area. Funding comes from the Regional Investment Program (PIR) 2022/26, with a 14-month execution period, and the work will be managed by the public company Planifica Madrid.
The Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, visited the plot where the building will be erected. He assured that the regional government continues to work towards ensuring all Madrid residents, regardless of their place of residence, have access to the best services and the most modern infrastructure.
The new headquarters, spanning nearly 900 square meters, will feature multipurpose rooms designed to facilitate the development of its various services and institutional events. Within its facilities, distributed over two floors, will be the administration and urban planning areas; a training zone for public employees; a space for intervention teams' offices, including psychologists and social workers; and an auditorium for meetings and activities.
This initiative is part of the regional government's Plan of Supramunicipal Actions, which has a budget of over 160 million euros for some thirty projects that will benefit 128 municipalities.
