The Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, delivered the fleet to the Valle del Lozoya Mancomunidad in Prádena del Rincón. The fleet comprises seven waste collection vehicles and 12 state-of-the-art street sweepers.
These vehicles will also be made available to municipalities affected by the fire in the Sierra Oeste to assist with cleaning, debris removal, and the reconstruction of damaged areas.

The Community of Madrid has allocated €20 million from the Reserve Fund of the Regional Investment Program to finance urgent cleaning and damage repair work in areas affected by the fires. To date, over 1,600 cubic meters of debris and rubble (equivalent to 280 containers) and more than 3,500 cubic meters of vegetable waste (almost 600 containers) have been removed.
Additionally, the regional executive has provided affected town councils with all-terrain pick-up trucks and professional machinery, such as brush cutters and chainsaws, to facilitate on-site recovery efforts.
This new fleet for the Sierra Norte is part of a broader plan of 35 supramunicipal actions across the Community of Madrid, with a total investment of €200 million. These projects aim to enhance services, infrastructure, and equipment in various localities.
Among other initiatives, the plan includes a park-and-ride facility in Prádena del Rincón, two slaughterhouses in Buitrago del Lozoya and Colmenar Viejo, the expansion of residences in Robledillo and Pinilla de Buitrago, the new Picasso Museum headquarters in Buitrago de Lozoya, and the construction of six fire stations.
The regional executive reiterates its commitment to continue allocating resources and means to ensure that all residents of Madrid, regardless of their municipality, have access to better public services, infrastructure, and equipment.
