The Community of Madrid has launched a new guide that brings together the main commercial and tourist attractions of the Salamanca district, one of the most recognized enclaves in the capital. The document presents a selection of almost one hundred establishments offering quality proposals in an environment that blends tradition, modernity, and innovation.
The presentation of this jointly edited publication was attended by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sport, Mariano de Paco Serrano, and the president of the Salamanca District Merchants Association, Julio Moreno Sanz. The event took place in the gardens of the Palacete de la Banca March.
“"These types of actions are important for fostering shopping tourism, a segment that is increasingly significant in the region."
Minister Mariano de Paco Serrano emphasized the importance of these initiatives for shopping tourism, noting that in 2025, 56.2% of international tourists visiting Madrid purchased a product during their stay, making this activity the second most popular, just behind gastronomic experiences (56.4%).
The guide highlights fashion, interior design, beauty, jewelry, and gastronomy establishments offering exclusive services, projecting Madrid's image of quality and sophistication nationally and internationally. The Merchants Association also promotes personalized private tours through boutiques, restaurants, and historic corners of the district.
Furthermore, the Salamanca district offers accommodation options including boutique hotels and renowned international hotel chains, complementing visitors' stays in the capital.
