The Community of Madrid has organized a program of free online training activities for professionals and family members of Alzheimer's patients, which will take place throughout June.

The Ministry of Family, Youth and Social Affairs, through the General Directorate for Care for the Elderly and Dependency, in collaboration with the Reina Sofía Alzheimer Training Center, has designed a series of workshops and conferences for June. These training sessions, offered online, aim to provide support and tools for both sector professionals and informal caregivers and family members.
For professionals working with individuals suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, courses such as 'Positive Psychology: How to Enhance Our Strengths to Increase Our Psychological Well-being' on June 3rd, 'Communicating Bad News in Sociosanitary Contexts' on the 18th, and 'Dysphagia: Fundamentals, Prevention, and Treatment' on June 29th have been scheduled.
For family members and caregivers, workshops like 'Art and Creativity for Brain Health' on June 23rd and 'Caregiver Anxiety: What to Do When You're Overwhelmed?' on the 24th will be offered. Additionally, the conferences 'Friendly Environments in Dementia' on June 12th and 'Procedure for Non-Voluntary Commitment in Sociosanitary Centers' on June 16th will be held.
All these activities are free of charge and are conducted online. The Community of Madrid provides detailed information on content, schedules, and registration procedures through its official website. These initiatives are part of the 'Long-Term Care School for the Elderly' program, focusing on psychosocial intervention and promoting autonomy.
