The Teatros del Canal will host the selection process for dancers and trainees intended to boost the official dance company of the Comunidad de Madrid. The Council of Culture, Tourism and Sport has initiated this public competition to expand the potential of its dance ensemble.
The regional Government has officially announced auditions to recruit a total of 11 professionals for the Spanish Ballet company. This initiative aims to bolster its artistic structure for upcoming seasons and solidify its commitment to interpretive excellence.
The call for applications is divided into two categories: seven positions for the main dance corps (four for male performers and three for female dancers) and four positions for trainees, aimed at young creators (two men and two women).
The evaluation panel has stipulated that only performers with solid academic training and demonstrable experience in various Spanish dance disciplines, including folklore, escuela bolera, flamenco, and stylized dance, will be eligible. The selection process will involve several elimination rounds to assess the technical abilities of the applicants.
Administrative files, scoring criteria, examination schedules, and specific contract conditions are now publicly available. Interested individuals can access all documentation through the employment section of the official Teatros del Canal website, which will serve as the central venue for the physical tests. Online registration must be completed before the organization's deadline.
