The disruption affects both directions of travel on one of the busiest sections of the circular line, which serves as the most utilized route within the entire Madrid Metro network.
The company has stated that the issue is due to technical causes. Maintenance teams are currently on-site working to resolve the fault as quickly as possible.
According to initial company estimates, the restoration of normal service is expected to take at least one hour from the time the incident occurred.
Passengers have been notified through the subway's official communication channels, with advice to seek alternative routes while rail traffic is restored in the affected section.
