The Moeve Tower, an emblematic skyscraper in northern Madrid, was urgently evacuated on Tuesday, June 23, after a fire broke out on its upper floors, generating a dense column of smoke visible across much of the city.

The incident, which began mid-afternoon, prompted emergency services from the City Council of Madrid to carry out a preventive and orderly evacuation of all employees and personnel present in the building. Fire crews quickly responded to the Paseo de la Castellana to begin firefighting operations.
Preliminary investigations suggest an internal explosion may have triggered the fire, which was concentrated in a technical room on the 25th floor of the complex. Firefighters swiftly stabilized and controlled the blaze, according to National Police sources.

"The firefighters' efforts have allowed the fire's source to be stabilized and controlled rapidly."
