The smoke column was visible from various parts of the capital. This incident echoes a previous fire on December 15, 2025, which started in a transformer in the basement and also led to a precautionary evacuation of the tower.
The Moeve Tower, formerly known as Cepsa Tower, was inaugurated in 2009 and stands 248 meters tall. Designed by architect Norman Foster, it is the second tallest building in Spain and houses offices for various companies, including Moeve's headquarters and Amazon.
