The Infanta Leonor University Hospital, part of the public health network of the Community of Madrid, has received triple recognition at the Congress of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the premier global event in Radiology.

The hospital center was honored with three Cum Laude awards, among the highest scientific distinctions at the congress, with only five awarded to Spanish authors. This achievement, marking the second consecutive year, underscores the research excellence of the Infanta Leonor University Hospital and its Radiology Department.
The awarded works, the result of multidisciplinary collaboration, focus on key areas of clinical practice, integrating medical imaging with pathological anatomy. The first study, "Fibroepithelial Tumors of the Breast. Contrast-Enhanced Mammography Imaging," analyzes these tumors by correlating radiological findings with pathology, offering practical insights for improved diagnostic interpretation.
The second paper, "Unveiling the Secrets of Non-Mass Enhancement in Contrast-Enhanced Mammography," is a radiopathological review of non-mass enhancement in mammography, a complex finding that aids in differentiating benign and malignant behaviors, thereby enhancing diagnostic decision-making.
Finally, the study "Not Just Two Paths: A Pictorial Radiopathological Review of the Ureter" presents a visual radiopathological review of the ureter, covering both benign and malignant pathologies. This work stands out for its integrative approach, providing a clear and systematic overview of the various conditions affecting this structure.
These international accolades reflect the high scientific, teaching, and research standards of the professionals at the Infanta Leonor University Hospital, reinforcing its position as a reference center in diagnostic imaging and demonstrating the competitiveness of Spanish radiology on the global stage. They also highlight the close collaboration among the hospital's various departments, which is crucial for developing high-impact research projects and enhancing patient care quality.
