Rayo Vallecano will play its second- jornada match against Deportivo Alavés at the Ontime Butarque Stadium, following the Community of Madrid's refusal to lift precautionary measures on the Vallecas Stadium.

The club had formally requested LaLiga to postpone the match, arguing it would cause "serious harm" not to play it at their usual venue. However, the league has not yet responded to this request, and the team is preparing to play at the stadium of CD Leganés.
The Community of Madrid's decision not to lift the precautionary suspension of the concession was communicated late on the afternoon of August 17. Rayo Vallecano states it provided all requested documentation and worked towards holding the match at the Vallecas Stadium.
The conflict between the club and the Community of Madrid, the stadium's owner, has intensified due to the condition of the pitch. The Community had previously terminated the club's concession citing maintenance and infrastructure deficiencies.
Upon receiving the refusal, Rayo submitted the postponement request to LaLiga, reiterating the detriment to the club and its fans of not playing at Vallecas. The club awaits a response from the competition organizer.
Should the match ultimately be played at the Ontime Butarque Stadium, an agreement has been reached with CD Leganés for this purpose. Rayo Vallecano season ticket holders can collect their tickets at the Vallecas Stadium box office. The club deeply regrets the situation and will soon provide documentation supporting its stance.
