The Popular Party of Madrid has begun preparations for the 2027 municipal elections by designating its first 29 candidates across various municipalities in the region.

The list, approved by the Electoral Committee and ratified by the Regional Board of Directors, focuses on towns where the party does not currently hold the mayoralty. This move covers 43 percent of these municipalities ahead of the upcoming elections in May 2027.
Of the selected profiles, 18 candidates will repeat as heads of their lists, while 11 are running for the first time. The regional leadership highlighted the diversity of professional backgrounds among those chosen, including lawyers, journalists, architects, and civil servants, aiming to strengthen their municipal project.
The presented slate consists of 20 men and nine women, with an average age of 49. Municipalities where the continuity of the heads of the list has been confirmed include Getafe, Alcorcón, Parla, Rivas Vaciamadrid, San Fernando de Henares, and Ciempozuelos.
