The 42nd edition of the Veranos de la Villa festival begins tomorrow in Madrid, featuring a program that includes over 70 cultural activities throughout July and August.

The event, organized by the Madrid City Council, will feature a diverse range of offerings including music, dance, theater, circus, and cinema. The opening will take place at Matadero Madrid with a musical show focused on summer hits.
The Conde Duque Center for Contemporary Culture will be one of the hubs of activity. Starting July 8, this space will host a zarzuela gala and the exhibition Yo fui a EGB, a display designed to explore generational memory through everyday objects.
The symphonic program will feature the Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band and the RTVE Orchestra and Choir, which will close the festival on August 29 with a tribute to the repertoire of ABBA.
In addition to the main venues, the festival will extend its offerings to various districts of the city. Planned activities include traditional jazz performances and traveling shows that will visit different squares and public spaces in Madrid.
