Three Arrested for Stealing Terrace Furniture in Madrid, Toledo, and Ciudad Real

The Civil Guard dismantled a criminal group allegedly responsible for stealing nearly 1,200 chairs and tables valued at over 40,000 euros.

The Civil Guard has apprehended three individuals in connection with a series of thefts of terrace furniture from hospitality businesses across the Community of Madrid, Toledo, and Ciudad Real.

The police operation concluded with the arrest of three people, who are accused of allegedly committing eleven counts of petty theft, two counts of burglary, and belonging to a criminal group. The investigation focused on the continuous theft of chairs and tables from the outdoor areas of bars and restaurants.
According to the information gathered, the detainees reportedly stole approximately 1,200 chairs and several tables, with a combined value exceeding 40,000 euros. These criminal acts occurred over a period of about three months.
The thefts took place in various Madrid municipalities including Patones, San Mamés, Lozoya, Hoyo de Manzanares, Cabanillas de la Sierra, Villanueva del Pardillo, Titulcia, and Moralzarzal. Stolen items were also reported in Turleque and Corral de Almaguer, in the province of Toledo, and in several municipalities within Ciudad Real.
The alleged perpetrators acted in a coordinated manner during the night, using a van that, according to investigations, was registered under a third party's name. The police investigation has successfully identified and arrested the three suspects, who have a criminal record for similar offenses.
The individuals were summoned to provide statements at the Civil Guard Post in San Agustín de Guadalix, where their arrest was ultimately carried out.
