The arrested individuals specialized in assaulting offices and commercial establishments, targeting premises with safes where they presumed significant profits due to the businesses' commercial activity. They are charged with a total of 14 strong-arm robbery offenses.
Investigations began after a robbery at a commercial establishment in the Retiro district, where the assailants stole a safe after forcing open the access door. From this incident, investigators managed to link up to 14 reports of similar incidents across different locations in the Community of Madrid.
Affected areas include the districts of Chamberí, Retiro, Centro, Chamartín, and Moncloa-Aravaca in the capital, as well as the towns of Getafe and Coslada. One particular case involved six robberies in the same building in the Chamberí district within just one week, initially affecting four different companies and two more subsequently.
The identification of the four men led to the establishment of a surveillance and location operation that culminated in their arrests on April 20. Following their apprehension, the alleged perpetrators were brought before judicial authorities.
