Madrid City Firefighters controlled a fire that broke out in the garage of a residential complex in Las Tablas, Madrid, after an electric or hybrid vehicle caught fire.

The fire started around 7:00 AM on the first basement level (-1) of number 8 Obanos Street, in the Las Tablas neighborhood. An electric or hybrid vehicle ignited inside the garage, generating a large amount of smoke that affected nine adjacent buildings.
As a precautionary measure, firefighters ordered residents to remain confined in their homes. Some residents left the premises on their own, while others were assisted by emergency services. One resident was treated by Samur-Civil Protection for minor smoke inhalation and was released at the scene.
The high temperatures caused by the fire led to the detachment of part of the garage's ceiling slab. However, sources indicated that the building's structure did not suffer significant damage.
The Municipal Police arrived at the scene to check on the residents' well-being and coordinate intervention efforts with the firefighters. The Complex Incident Procedure (PIC) was activated to ensure coordination among the various emergency services.
Firefighters eventually extinguished the flames, secured the affected area, and safely removed the damaged vehicle from the premises.
