Cercanías Madrid will implement a special reinforcement on the C-4 line from June 1 to 4 to facilitate student travel to the Autonomous University of Madrid for the University Access Tests (PAU).

The special operation includes the addition of four extra daily trains on the route between Chamartín and Cantoblanco stations. These reinforcements will focus on peak hours, coinciding with the start of exams in the morning (from 8:00 AM) and their conclusion in the afternoon (around 5:55 PM).
This measure will increase the transport capacity by approximately 6,300 additional seats per day, responding to the expected rise in travelers during the PAU days. The C-4 line is a crucial rail connection between central Madrid and the Cantoblanco university campus, making it a high-demand route for students during this period.
Cercanías sources explain that these reinforcements are part of the company's regular operations for major cultural, sporting, or festive events that cause a significant increase in users. The main goal is to ensure mobility and prevent overcrowding during high-demand periods, especially for key events like university entrance exams.
