Participants had from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM to complete a secret route across 10 stations: Príncipe Pío, Pozuelo, Villalba, Chamartín, Tres Cantos, Sol, Atocha, Alcorcón, Getafe Centro, and Torrejón de Ardoz. The station names were revealed on Friday, September 18th, at 7:00 PM to ensure fair preparation time for all.
The competition began at Príncipe Pío station, where participants received the rules and a contactless travel card valid exclusively on the Renfe Cercanías Madrid network. A Validation Commission is now verifying that each contestant completed the route correctly.
To validate a station, participants had to alight the train and perform both an exit and subsequent entry validation using the provided transport ticket. Access system records serve as the official source for determining completed stations and times.
The final ranking will prioritize the number of correctly completed stations. In case of a tie, the shortest time between the first entry validation at Príncipe Pío and the final exit validation will be used.
The names of the top three winners will be announced on the official @Renfe account on X and the company's website. Renfe will contact the winners by phone starting October 1st to inform them about prize collection.
Prizes for the top three finishers include a Brompton C-line 12v Mid bicycle, a 3-day/2-night trip for two during the 2027 season on the Expreso de la Robla (Bilbao – León), and a trip for four on the Tren de Cervantes.
