From last Tuesday until this Saturday, the Madrid Arena Multipurpose Pavilion served as the meeting point for the country's leading fire and emergency teams. The event, jointly organized by the Fire Department of the Community of Madrid, the Fire Department of the City of Madrid, and the Professional Association of Rescue in Traffic Accidents (APRAT), primarily aimed to improve training, coordination, and intervention techniques for road traffic incidents.
For several days, more than twenty teams from various autonomous communities participated in extrication maneuvers and victim care simulations. These interventions, designed to replicate real accidents with crashed vehicles and trapped individuals, were conducted against the clock, demanding maximum technical precision from the participants.
The meeting not only has a competitive nature but also an educational one, facilitating knowledge exchange among professionals and the sharing of new rescue and trauma care techniques, a key area within emergency services.
ENRATT has established itself as a significant event in the sector, both nationally and internationally, also serving as a training platform for world championships. This twentieth edition held in Madrid underscores its role as a reference hub for emergency training and coordination, aiming to improve responses to traffic accidents and, consequently, increase victim survival rates.
