Velilla de San Antonio is preparing for its Patron Saint Festivals with a mobility plan aimed at ensuring citizen safety and access to scheduled events. As a notable measure, the municipality will be the only one in the Community of Madrid to provide continuous police escort for public transport buses, an initiative that is becoming established to protect both staff and users during the festive period.
Modifications to urban routes and stops will be in effect from Friday, September 25, at 3:00 PM until Wednesday, September 30, at 8:00 AM. Vehicles entering Velilla from Madrid will follow a specific itinerary through streets such as Federico García Lorca and Paz Camacho, while departures towards the capital will use Doctor Alcorta and Joselito. Several usual stops will be temporarily suspended, with a provisional stop set up at the intersection of Paz Camacho street and Olivar street.
To facilitate nighttime travel, the interurban line N203 Madrid (Ciudad Lineal) - Velilla - Loeches will extend its services during the weekend. Special reinforcements have been established for the nights of Friday, September 25 to Saturday, September 26, and Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, September 27, with additional departures from Velilla and Ciudad Lineal to cover the demand generated by the festive events.
