A 37-year-old worker has been seriously injured after falling from the roof of an industrial building in Alcalá de Henares, and was airlifted to Hospital 12 de Octubre.

The incident occurred this Wednesday in the San Miguel industrial estate in Alcalá de Henares, near the M-100. The man was performing tasks on the exterior of a small industrial unit when he fell from an estimated height of between six and eight meters.
Emergency services received the alert at 2:10 PM. Immediately, SUMMA medical personnel and Red Cross teams were dispatched to the scene to assist the injured worker.
The worker suffered a moderate head injury, chest trauma, a fractured pelvis, and a fracture to his left upper limb. After being stabilized by paramedics, he was transported by helicopter to Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid, where he was admitted in serious condition.
The National Police has launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding this workplace accident.
